Your Shield And Guide
December 08, 2023
"After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward." Genesis 15:1
Life at times can be difficult. In these times it can be hard to make the right decisions, because we already see ourselves in a bad situation and we do not want to make it any worse than it already is. When we decide to give our lives to God, we must remember that God will lead us and guide us through the many difficult situations and circumstances we will face. When the road becomes rough and rocky, we know God is there for us and we never have to be afraid, even if we do not know where the road is going to take us. The Scripture reminds us, after these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, fear not, Abram: I am your shield, and your exceeding great reward. I encourage you today to remember that God is leading and guiding you, and He has you on the right road. God told Abram, even before he was Abraham to leave all that was familiar to him, and God was going to show him where to go. God made Abram a promise that He would be his shield and a great reward for him, if he would go where he told him to go. Abram followed God, and God blessed him. You do not have to be afraid of the road God has you on, God knows right where He is taking you. The road God has you on is one where He will protect you from all hurt, harm and danger. The road God has you on is the one He has designed to bring you to your destiny in Him. Never let anyone or anything take you off the road to your destiny. God is your shield and He will protect you and be with you through it all. Trust Him and never doubt and know He has a great reward for you, when you are obedient to Him. I thank God for where He is leading me and I know the road He has me on is leading me to the place of my destiny in Him. Since I know that God has me on the road to my destiny, I am extremely confident, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord sometimes the road gets rough, and I don’t know if I want to keep moving on, but I know that you are with me. I know that you will never steer me in the wrong direction. Give me strength to walk the road you have me on and be my shield and guide through it all. Thank you Lord for always being my guide and my shield. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
