You Are Not Alone
October 14, 2025
"Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him." 1 Kings 19:18
Growing up each of us wanted to have friends and to be liked by others. As we grew up, we discovered that not everyone was going to like us, and we were not going to like everyone else. In our quest for friends there were times when we did some things we normally would not do, but because our friends were doing it or everyone else was doing it, so we decided to do it as well, and found ourselves in trouble. As we grow into becoming mature Christians there are going to be times when people and things will try to draw us away from what we know to be right. It is then we should realize that there are times when God will not allow us to follow the crowd, but to be set apart and different for His service. The Scripture reminds us that Elijah was struggling thinking that He was the only one God had called to do the right thing and God told him, I have me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed to baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him. I encourage you today to remember that although you may feel like you are the only one, God has others who are doing their best to serve and please Him as well. You do not have to follow the crowd or be like everyone else, God has made you unique and you can be assured that you are not alone because God is with you. Be encouraged when you have to take a stand or do the opposite of what others do, because you know that God is with you. Do not compromise who you are in God, to be imitators of people here on earth. God is the One who has blessed you, and He is the One that will continue to keep you, so you do not have to bow or fall to anything or anyone, just keep serving God and allow Him to work everything out for your good. I am thankful that I am not alone, and I know that God is always with me, and I will not follow the crowd, but I will always follow Him. Since I am not afraid to be unique for The Lord, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for making me just as I am. Although I don’t always understand the road you have me on, I will continue to follow you even when it seems like I am the only one chasing after you, but I know that I am not alone, and I know that you are always with me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
