With Your Whole Heart
February 22, 2024
“Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;” Joel 2:12 (ESV)
There may have been times in our lives that we were determined to do the right thing, and it seemed the more we did the right thing, the more things went wrong. It felt like it was better to do what was easy and wrong than to continue to what was right and difficult. It could be that we have even put our religion on the shelf of life and did what we wanted to do. Somewhere down the road of wrong we know we had to make our way back to God. We are blessed because we have a God who loves us enough to allow us to come back to Him when we humble ourselves. The Scripture reminds us, yet even now, declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning, I encourage you today that as you are fasting, that you will with your whole heart, return to God. God is waiting for you with open arms, confess your sins before Him, ask for forgiveness and with weeping return to Him. God is a forgiving God, and we can always ask Him to forgive us, and He will wash all our sins away. During this time of fasting and praying, don’t forget to ask God to forgive you of all your sins, even the ones you may not think are sin. With my whole heart I return to The Lord asking for forgiveness of all my sins. Since I will constantly ask for forgiveness and return to Him with my whole heart, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord forgive me of all my sins. I return to you with my whole heart, soul, and mind. Thank you for your forgiveness and for giving me another chance. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
