Watch And Pray
November 08, 2025
"Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." Matthew 26:41
There are some things we face that we can do something about, and there are other things we face that are out of our control. In dealing with those things which are out of our control, we are going to have to learn to watch and pray. The Scripture reminds us that as Jesus was about to be betrayed, He asked the disciples to pray, and Jesus Himself went and prayed. As Jesus prayed the disciples fell asleep, and Jesus told them they needed to watch and pray lest they enter into temptation, but He knew their spirit was willing, but their flesh was week. I encourage you today to watch and pray. There are many things going on around you, and many of them you cannot do anything about, and it is in those instances, you need to watch and pray. There are decisions you need to make, and they should not be made quickly, but take your time and watch and pray so you will not enter into temptation. Watch and pray and ask The Lord to give you the direction He wants you to go. Watch and pray knowing your flesh is weak, but your spirit is willing. If your spirit is willing The Lord will give you what you need to make it through what you are going through. Do not allow your circumstances to dictate your actions, watch and pray, and let The Lord guide your path. My spirit is willing, and I know my flesh is weak, so I am going to watch and pray, and wait on The Lord to lead me to the place He has for me. Since I am watching and praying, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, life at times is difficult and I don’t know which way to go, but I will watch and pray and seek you often for the path and the direction you would have me to go. Soeak to me Lord and show me the way that you have for me. Thank you Lord for always being there for me and answering me when I call. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
