Trust God

“But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.” Acts 5:29 (ESV)

No matter how much we say that we don’t care what people think about us, the truth of the matter is we do care what people think, and we all want people to like us. For some they will go to the extreme to receive validation from people and will even step out of character just to be accepted by others. God loves us just the way He created us, and we do not need to change or do anything out of character for God to accept and love us. The Scripture reminds us, Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.” I encourage you today that you obey God rather than men. When you obey and trust God, He will open doors for you and make ways for you. You can jump through hoops to get people to like and accept you, and at the end of the day they still might not even acknowledge that you exist. However, when you trust and obey God, there will be no doubt how much He loves and cares about you. When the trials of life come, obey God and watch Him work things out for you. As I travel the road of life, I know that there will be many crossroads that I will come to, and in those moments, I have decided that I will trust God rather than be liked by people. Since I will obey God in all that I do, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”

Prayer:

Lord thank you for directing my path. It is not always easy to go the way you have laid out for me, because there are people trying to pull me in other directions, but I trust and love you, and I know you have great things in store for my life. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
