Keep Building
October 27, 2025
“Who were building the wall. The laborers carried on their work with one hand supporting their load and one hand holding a weapon.” Nehemiah 4:17 (NLT)
There are times when we can feel like we are doing a delicate balancing act with everything we do. We can see that one wrong move, or one wrong word can cause everything to tumble down. As we move on building some positive things in our lives, it seems like there is someone or something trying to stop and block the work. Each of us have felt like we have taken one step forward and three steps back when trying to achieve something in our lives. There are times when we are going to have to build with one hand, and fight with the other. The Scripture reminds us that they were going to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, but their enemy tried to stop them from building the wall, and in order to get the job done, everyone had to work with one hand and have their weapon in their other hand. I encourage you today as you are building the things the enemy has torn down in your life, to build with one hand, but also have your hand on your weapon. Never take your eyes off the enemy in your life, for all the progress you have made in God they will do all they can do to try to bring it down. Keep working, but do not let your weapon be far from you, for as it looks like you are going to succeed the enemy will be lurking trying to stop what you have done. Your weapon is the Word of God, and you have to always have it near you, especially when you are building something for The Lord. No matter how much you like people, you are going to have some haters, because of what The Lord is doing in your life, and there are going to be sometimes in life when you are going to have to fight in order to keep what The Lord has built in your life. No matter what the enemy tries I will not stop building and I will not stop working for The Lord, and my weapon is always close by me. Since I have one hand on the work, and another on my Word, I know for sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for everything you are doing in my life. Thank you for helping me build some things for your Kingdom. Lord, help me to succeed so you can get al lthe glory out of my life. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
