The Morning
October 10, 2023
“For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.” Psalm 30:5 (ESV)
There are times when will be angry. Our anger will cause us to say or do something we would not normally say or do. We can stay angry for a long time over the same thing and feel justified in our anger. There are times when our actions will cause God to become angry at us, and the difference is that God's anger only last a short while. The Scripture reminds us, for his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning. I encourage you to remember no matter what you are going through God does not stay angry with you forever. God wants to shower you with His favor that will endure every situation that you face, and it never expires. There are going to be times when you are going to have to cry, but rest assure you do not have to cry forever, and what you are going through only last but for a short while when you have your trust in God. Joy comes in the morning. Take time to look around you, don't you see the sun shining in your life? Morning has come, dry your tears and get up and thank God for all the great things He has done in your life. You don't have to endure the agony of long days when you realize there is joy in the morning, and you have the favor of God working and operating in your life. I am grateful His anger only last for a moment, and I have favor with God. There will be times I may have to cry, but I know that weeping may last through the night, but I see the sun beginning to rise in my life, and I find joy, peace and happiness in the morning. Since I have the joy of The Lord working in my life, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, I thank you that no matter how rough the night may have been, I find joy in the morning. I thank you that even as I am weeping you are already preparing peace for m life. Thank you that you do not stay angry with me but give me joy and peace in the morning. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
