The Greatest Gift
January 29, 2024
“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13 (ESV)
The greatest gifts that God has given to us, is His love. The love that God has for us is an unconditional love that does not come and go but is always there for us to receive. Too often we take God’s love for granted and we equate God’s love with man’s love. God does not love like we love, but God expects us to love like He loves. God’s love is quick to forgive and is never puffed up or seeking its own way. God’s love is genuine and pure. The Scripture reminds us that, faith, hope, and love abide, but the greatest of these is love. I encourage you today to walk in the greatest of gifts that you have, and that is love. Show the love of God wherever you go today. Show God’s love to those He will place in your path. It is not always easy to love others, but we must admit it is not always easy for God to love us, but He does. You can have many gifts, and do great things with all those gifts, but if you do not exercise your gift of love, you have nothing. I am grateful that God loves me unconditionally. There is not a time when God does not love me, and since He has given me the gift of love, I will love others just as He loves me. Since I am determined to us my gift of love, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord thank you for the gift of love that you have given to me. Thank you for loving me unconditionally. Help me to show forth your love to others so that you may be glorified. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
