The Great Author

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2

It takes an author many hours, days, weeks, and sometimes even years to finish a good book. An author takes their time to develop the characters and storylines so that the story can be one that those who read it will enjoy. While we may be intrigued with the characters and the storyline, the author is the only one who knows every chapter and how the story will end. We have an author who wrote the story of our lives, and He knows every chapter of our life. The Scripture reminds us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. I encourage you today to remember that you have The Author who knows every chapter of your life. The Lord knows your good days as well as your bad days. He knows your failings and your successes, and He has written every line of your life. When you are going through the difficult times of life, look to the author and finisher of your faith to guide you through. I don’t know every chapter of my life, but I know the one who wrote the book of my life, and I am thankful that He is with me all the time. Since my life is in the hand of the greatest author, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”

Lord thank you for writing the story of my life. Continue to lead and guide me through these chapters so I can navigate the rough waters and spend eternity with you. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
