The Good Shepherd

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” John 10:11 (ESV)
A shepherd is one who guides and guards a flock of sheep. It is the shepherd’s job to make sure that the sheep are being taken care of and being protected from all hurt, harm, and danger. A shepherd who falls asleep on the job and does not make sure the flock is fed and watered is not a good shepherd. We who are saved can be thankful that we not only have a good shepherd, we have a great shepherd who always takes care of us. The Scripture reminds us that, I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. I encourage you today to remember that you have a good shepherd in Jesus. He is a good and great shepherd because He always makes sure that you have all your needs supplied. He is a good shepherd because He is always there to lead and guide you in the right places and paths. He is a good shepherd because He laid down His life for you, that you might have a right to the tree of life. The Lord is my good shepherd, and He is always good to me, and He always leads and guides me to the places that He has for me. Since I know The Lord is my good shepherd, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord thank you for being my good shepherd. Thank you for always providing for me and thank you for always leading and guiding me in the places that you have for me. Thank you for lying
down your life for me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
