The Blessing In Waiting
May 12, 2023
"My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning." Psalm 130:6
The anticipation of a big day can be nerve racking. The day before a big day it is hard to concentrate on anything else, but what is going to happen tomorrow. The night before sleep is almost impossible to get, because we toss and turn waiting the big day, and we cannot wait until the morning comes. Waiting can be the difficult part, especially when we know something great is going to happen. Not only is waiting on things and big days difficult, but waiting on The Lord can be difficult as well, and waiting on Him can comes with some sleepless nights, because we are in anticipation of The Lord doing something great in our lives. The Scripture reminds us that, our souls wait for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning. I encourage you today to continue to wait on The Lord, because He will do great things in your life. Wait on The Lord to bring that blessing into your life. The Lord has not forgotten about you so take heart and know that your blessing is on the way. Waiting on The Lord does not mean that you do nothing, but while you are waiting on Him, take the time to pray, read your Word, and draw closer to Him. While you are waiting on The Lord, He is preparing you for the blessing He is bringing into your life. While you are waiting on The Lord you may have to go through some trials and tribulations, but know those are designed to strengthen you, and build you up for the blessing that is on the way. Just like a child is excited and cannot sleep on Christmas Eve, you should be just as excited about this new day The Lord has blessed you with, because with this new day comes new blessings and new mercy. My soul waits on The Lord and I am excited as a kid at Christmas, because I know my blessing is on the way. Since I am going to wait on The Lord, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord I am waiting on you. I know that my blessings are on the way, as you have great things in store for my life. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
