That’s Love
March 25, 2023
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
Love is a powerful word, but love is just a word if there is no action behind it. It is great to hear someone tell us they love us, and we all want to feel loved. Love is not just a one-way street, it takes two people to love one another. Jesus did not just give us lip service when He said He loved us, He showed us how much He really loved us when He died for us. We should want to show Jesus how much we love Him, by our worship, praise, and service. The Scripture reminds us, God commended his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. I encourage you today to remember the awesome love God showed you by sending His Son to die for you. Jesus did not have to stay on the cross, but He loved you so much He died for you. He didn’t do it because you were perfect, but because His loves for you is perfect. No matter what you may be facing or how many trials and tribulations come your way, remember Jesus loves you. When people who say they love you are not there for you, all you have to do is remember how Jesus went to the cross for you, and how He gave His life for yours, and you will quickly remember that's love. This season of Lent is a time to remember the sacrifice that Christ made for us and the immense love that He has for us. There is not a day that goes by that I do not know and feel the love of Jesus shining on my life. Since I know without a doubt that Jesus loves me, I am sure, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord thank you for loving me so much that even when I did not love myself, you died for me. Thank you for always showing your love for me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
