Talk And Sing Your Way Through
April 13, 2024
"Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;" Ephesians 5:19
All of us talk to ourselves through situations. We may talk to ourselves driving down the street or in the shower, or a myriad of other places. While talking to ourselves may not sound sane to anyone who may hear us, but it keeps us sane so we can navigate those challenging times in life. The Scripture reminds us that we should speak to ourselves in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing making melody in our hearts to the Lord. I encourage you as you go throughout this day to talk to yourself in hymns ad psalms. Have a psalm that you know by heart and when things get rough during the day just begin to speak the psalm to yourself. When trials and tribulations comes, make sure you have you a hymn you can sing that will bring you through. Have a song not any song, but a spiritual song that will keep you when times become rough. There is nothing wrong with letting people think that you are talking to yourself and singing to yourself, because in reality you are talking to The Lord. It may not make sense to anyone else but you, but you must remember you have to lift your voice and sing unto The Lord and know you are making melody in your heart not to anyone else but The Lord. It is the Lord that hears and understands you when you speak and sing to yourself. There will be times when you are the only one who understands what you are going through, and you are the only one who can talk you through what you are going through. Always keep a hymn and a spiritual song in your heart, it will do wonders to see you through every trial and tribulation you face in life. I will talk, sing and praise all by myself and make melody in my heart to The Lord knowing He hears my every cry and my every plea. Since I am not ashamed to talk myself through and make melody in my heart to The Lord I know for sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for all that you do for me. Thank you for hearing me when it looks like I am talking to myself. Thank you for allowing me to sing my way through some storms. Thank you Lord for all you do for me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
