"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:7

When we hear the word submission, we feel like we have to give up something or a part of us to be able to submit to something or someone. Submission on any level is not an easy thing, because we feel like we are going to lose a part of ourselves if we give in or yield ourselves to another. Submission is being committed and yielded to a person or an authority, and it becomes difficult to submit because we may not be ready to give to anyone or anything seemingly that much power over us. Not only do we find it difficult to submit to people, but we find it difficult to submit to God. If we are really committed to God then we should not find it difficult to submit to Him, because The Lord knows where He is taking us. When we can totally yield ourselves to the power of God, then some of the things we are concerned about in our lives will not be our concern, because we have turned it over to God, and He will take care of everything for us. The Scripture reminds us if we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, the devil will flee from us. I encourage you today to yield yourself totally to God in every area. Submit to God and allow Him to direct your path and your steps today. Resist the temptation to do things your way, and ask The Lord for direction. If you would submit to God some of the things you are fighting against you would not have to fight as hard because you have turned them over to God. You do not have to run from the devil, all you have to do is submit to God, resist the devil, and he will run from you. When you are totally submitted, committed, and yielded to God there is no room for the enemy to come in. I give everything over to God, and yield myself totally to His will and way for my life, and watch the devil run from me. This is why I am so convinced, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”

Prayer:

Lord I am totally submitted to your will and way for my life. Your power and authority lead and guide me every day. Help me to walk in the path that you have for me. I love you Lord. In Jesus name Amen.
