Show Love
December 05, 2025
"But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another." 1 Thessalonians 4:9
We all know someone who is difficult to get along with. We can say it is one thing, and they will say it is something else, and they want to be argumentative just for the sake of being disagreeable. There are times when we do not want to even deal with them because we know how they can be, but no matter what we still show them the love of God. It is not always easy to show love to people who are difficult to deal with, but we must press our way pass their rough exterior and allow the love to penetrate their hearts. The Scripture reminds us that when it comes to brotherly love we do not need to teach anything because we have already been taught by God to love one another. I encourage you today to do what you already know to do in every situation, and that is to show the love of God. You already know that you will encounter some who will rub you the wrong way, but you still must allow show the love of God to them. You do not have to like everything someone may do, but you do need to show love in every encounter you have. You may not know that Someone is watching how you will respond to a situation, and they are waiting to see if you will be an extension of God’s love. Someone you may encounter today will need to experience brotherly love from you, and they may not ever say anything, but when you extend to them your love, you do not even know who that may bless their life. God Himself extended His great love to you when you were difficult to love, but His love found its way to your heart, and you are blessed because it did, and He wants you to extend that same love to others. I am thankful for the love that The Lord shows to me each day, and I will do all that I can to allow brotherly love to be shown to all I encounter today. Since I know that God loves me and I will show forth His love each day, I know without a doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From my God!"
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for loving me unconditionally. Thank you for always showing me your love. Help me to be an extension of your love to others today. Use me to show your lovingkindness to others so someone else might know you as Lord. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
