Shake It Off
February 19, 2026
"And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet." Matthew 10:14
Each of us have experienced when someone would not listen to us. No matter what we said or how we said it, they just refused to listen. Conversely, there were times when we would not listen to what others had to say to us, because we thought we knew what we were doing. It is unsettling when we are trying our best to help someone who says they want help but does not listen to advice they are given. There are those who need The Lord in their lives, but for whatever reason they do not want to receive what The Lord has for them. The Scripture reminds us, when we find ourselves in these situations to just shake the dust off our feet and keep going. I encourage you today to continue to try to help those who need help, but when it becomes too much and they are not receiving you well, shake it off. Life will become difficult from time to time, and you can become bogged down in the things of life, but do not allow life to get you so far down, get up and shake it off and keep going. Friends may not understand you and family members may reject you, shake it off and keep serving God. People may tell you, you cannot make it, do not listen to them shake it off and keep following God. They may say you are crazy for how you serve The Lord, shake it off and keep serving Him. There may be some things in life, and some people no matter how difficult it is you will just have to shake off and keep going. No matter how tough life may get, I am going to shake it off and keep following The Lord, this is why I know for sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, sometimes life becomes difficult, and challenges come my way some of them are so heavy and they make me want to give up, but I will not give up. I will shake it off, and I will keep following you, knowing that you have great things in front of me thank you, Lord for always leading and guiding me. Thank you, Lord, for always being there for me, because I know I cannot make it without you. I love you Lord. Jesus Name Amen.
