"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

After a hard day’s work, the only thing we really want to do is to go home put our feet up and rest. We really do not want to be bothered with anything or anyone, we just want some well-deserved and much needed rest. However, reality steps in most of the time because when we get home we have more to do, families to take care of, dinner to cook, homework to check, and a host of other things, and rest seems to be an elusive luxury instead of an essential necessity. Although we may not be able to get the rest we want through the week, we can always find much needed rest in The Lord. The Scripture reminds us, come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. I encourage you today to find your rest in The Lord. When you feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders and rest is escaping you, go to Jesus and He will give you rest. You do not have to be superman or superwoman all the time. Take everything to The Lord, He already knows everything you are going through and He will give you rest. When life is coming at me fast I know I can find my rest in The Lord. Since I know The Lord will give me rest from my burdens, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”

Prayer:

Lord thank you for taking all my burdens and lifting the weight of my shoulders. I find all my rest in you. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
