“Take away the dross from the silver, and the smith has material for a vessel;” Proverbs 25:4 (ESV)
When silver is new it is shiny and looks like glass and it is beautiful. Many people wear silver because of its beauty and the way it shines. However, silver has to go through a process to have the beauty and shine so people can enjoy it. Silver has to go through the fire so that the silver smith can get out all the dross or impurities that are found in the silver, and this can be a long process, but in the end, it is worth it to the smith. We too are like unrefined silver to The Lord and we must go through the process in order to get out some of the impurities of our lives. The Scripture reminds us that, when you take away the dross from silver, the smith has material for a vessel. I encourage you today to allow God to take the dross out of your life. When God can take the dross out of your life, then He has a vessel He can now work with. When you take some time to allow God to put you in the fire, so all of the impurities can fall off, then you will be a vessel that He can now work with. It is not easy to be refined by God, but it is worth it, so that once God puts you through the process He can use you for His glory. It may be difficult what you are going through now, but do not forget that God has a plan for your life, and He needs you to be a vessel He can work with, but first He has to take away the dross of your life. I want to always be used by God, so Lord take away all of the dross off of me so I can be a vessel you can use for your glory. Since I am willing to go through the process to be used by God, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord thank you for counting me worthy enough to go through the process of refining. It is not easy to be refined but I know you have a plan and purpose for my life, and in the end it will all be worth it. Thank you for constantly refining me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
