Promotion

“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.” Psalm 75:6

For many of us we work tirelessly to do the best we can at everything we try. There are days when we feel like what we are doing is worth it, and then there are other days when we do not even know why we put the effort in. Some of the reasons we feel it is worth it is because of the accolades we may receive from what we do and for the promotions we attain for putting in the hard work. There are times when we are putting in the work, but someone else is getting promoted ahead of us. This can be difficult to swallow, but we must remember that our true promotions do not come from people, but they come from The Lord. The Scripture reminds us that, promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: He puts down one, and sets up another. I encourage you today to remember that it is The Lord that will give to you your promotions in life. True promotion does not come from an achievement that you have accomplished, but true promotion comes when The Lord blesses and takes you from where you are to the place that He has for you. People can only take you so far and have only so much they can give you, but The Lord’s promotions are limitless and secure. I am grateful that all my promotions do not come at the will of people, but at the delight of The Lord, and it is The Lord who will continue to lift me up all the days of my life. Since I know that it is God who grants my promotion, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”

Prayer:

Lord thank you for all the amazing ways that you bless my life. Thank you for raising me up and thank you for keeping and promoting me, not because I am so good, but because you are so great. I will keep working hard in your Kingdom and doing your will for the rest of my life. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
