Priority One

"For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God." Deuteronomy 4:24

Each of us has so much to be thankful for. The Lord has brought us a long way, and has kept His hand on us through many different situations in our lives. He was there for us when no one else was there, and when family and friends turned their backs on us, The Lord was there. The Lord has shown His love for us in a myriad of ways. God's love for us is genuine and true, and there are no conditions on the love that God has for us, and He has proven He loves us, because He has done so much for us. Since The Lord has shown us the meaning of true love and has continually poured His love on us, He does not want us to put anything or anyone in before Him. The Lord wants that same faithfulness He shows us, to be shown to Him because He is a jealous God. I encourage you today to remember the faithfulness The Lord has shown you. The Lord has never left you and has done what He has promised to do in your life, and He wants you to do the same thing for Him. God should always be your priority and not your option when things are not going the way you want them to go. What in your life have you put before God? Have you let family, friends, your job, finances, boyfriend, girlfriend, children or even your spouse come before God? Have you spent more time pleasing people, than you have pleasing God? God does not want you to put anything in front of Him, because He is first priority in your life. God's jealousy for you is not like that of a crazed ex who does all manner of things to try to get back into your life, but it is one who's foundation is love. Do not let anything or anyone take the place of God in your life. It does not make a difference how good it looks, feels, smells, or how it treats you now, God is always good to you and nothing could ever surpass God's love for you. God is always faithful to me and His promises are always true for me this is why He is first in my life and because He is first, I know without a doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for choosing me. Thank you for loving me and always being there for me. You are priority one in my life and I will put nothing or no one in front of you, because I love you and you always show me how much you love me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
