Peace In The Storm
May 25, 2026
"But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!" Matthew 8:27
The Lord has done powerful things in each of our lives. The Lord has opened doors for us that we previously shut in our face. He has made ways for us, when we knew there was no way out. He has blessed us beyond our wildest imagination. Yet, we are still amazed at His awesome power displayed in our lives. There is no doubt we serve an awesome God, who does awesome things in our lives. The Lord is always doing amazing things for us, and yet we are constantly amazed by Him. The disciples were in the midst of a storm and Jesus had to calm the storm for them, and once the winds and the waves calmed down they were amazed. The Scripture reminds us that the disciples asked a question, what manner of man is this that even the winds and the sea obey Him? I encourage you today to remember that you serve a powerful God. The God you serve does not have some power, but He has all power. Do not be amazed at the things He will do in your life when you put your trust in Him. When the storms of life are raging, do not be amazed when The Lord calms the storms in your life. You do not have to question what kind of Man is He that He would step out in the midst of what you are going through and give you peace. The Lord will be there for you when you are in the valley and give you peace in your valley. The Lord will be there when you are in a dry place and give you water in the desert. There is not a place where you can be that The Lord is not there with and for you. He is all powerful and all knowing and He will keep and bless you when you need it the most. People want power, but there is none that has more power than The Lord who is on your side. I know that He is awesome in my life, and I know when the storms of life begin to rage, and the waves are swarming over me, He will give me peace and keep me in my storms. This is why I know for sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing from My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, I know that you will always be there for me, and while I should not be amazed at your awesomeness, but I am still amazed. I am grateful and thankful that you love and care about me so much that you calm every storm that rises in my life. Thank you for giving me peace in every situation. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
