Peace In His Shadow
July 01, 2025
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1 (ESV)
As children many of us were afraid of shadows. We were afraid because we didn’t know what they were and they were so large. We would try to run from the shadows but everywhere we went the shadow was there and this frightened us. As we grew us we realized that we didn’t need to be afraid of the shadows because the shadows reflected us. Although the shadow was bigger than us, we didn’t need to be afraid but instead found comfort in knowing it was there. Even now we can find comfort in the shadow that is with us always. That shadow is not our own, but it is when we are in the shadow of God that we can find peace. The Scripture reminds us, he who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I encourage you today to find everything you need in God’s shadow. It is in His shadow that you will find peace and joy, and love that you will not find anywhere else. When life becomes difficult, run to the shadow of God and you will be kept and covered in His shadow. When the rain of life is falling, find your shelter from the storm in the shadow of God. When life comes at me hard, and I don’t’ know what to do, I know there is safety in His shadow and I will be able to make it through all that is coming against me. Since I will dwell in His shelter and find peace in His shadow, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for always being with me. Thank you for allowing me to find shelter in you and peace in your shadow. Thank you for always covering me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
