Nowhere To Hide
August 25, 2023
"Whither shall I go from thy spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence?" Psalm 139:7
Growing up each of us has played the game of hide and seek. In playing this game those who were hiding would make sure they had the best hiding places, so it would be difficult for the person seeking to find them. If we were found we had to make sure we would make it back to a safe place before were tagged in order not to be caught. There are times when we could be playing spiritual hide and seek with The Lord because we may not be doing what we are supposed to be doing, and we think that The Lord cannot see or find us. The Scripture asks us a question, where can we go from His Spirit, or where can we flee from His presence? I encourage you today to remember you cannot hide or run form the presence of The Lord. There is not a place on earth you can find to hide where The Lord is not there. If you go into the deepest densest forest on earth, and hide under the brush The Lord is right there. If you decide to dive into the deepest parts of the sea, The Lord is there. If you go into the lowest valley, and crawl under the biggest rock, The Lord is there. If you go down to hell and make your bed there, The Lord is there also. There is not a time or a place when The Lord is not with you. There is not a time when The Lord is not keeping you and wrapping His arms of love and protection around you. You cannot and should not try to run from the presence of The Lord, for it is His presence that will keep you through and in all situations you find yourself in. Stop running from The Lord and start running to Him, for it is with Him you will find everything you need in your life. I have discovered that there is not a place on earth or under it that I can run from the presence of The Lord, and I have also discovered that I do not ever want to be without His presence in my life. So since I have stopped running and have started praising I know for sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord thank you for your presence in every area of my life. As I go throughout this day help me to run to you, and not from you. In Jesus name, Amen.
