Not Always Right
June 25, 2023
“Behold, blessed is the one whom God reproves; therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty.” Job 5:17
It can be humbling when we think we are right and someone has to correct us and tell us we are wrong. There are some who think they are right all the time about everything, and if someone tells them they are wrong then they will have problem with that person and will still proclaim they are right. We all make mistakes, no one is perfect all the time. The smartest person in the world is not always right, the person who has been in Church most of their lives is not always right. The important thing is not to always be right, it is how we react when we are wrong, and we need to be corrected. The Scripture reminds us that, blessed is the one who God reproves; therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty. I encourage you today to remember you are not perfect and you will make mistakes, and because God loves you He will correct you. When God corrects you, it is because He does not want to see you go through the same things over and over again. Job reminds you blessed is the person whom God corrects, and you should be ecstatic that God would take the time to correct you, because He loves you. So, when God has to correct you and has to discipline, you do not think God is being too hard on you, He is really showing His love for you. If God did not love you He would not even say anything to you, He would simply allow you to continue to fall deeper and deeper into sin. I thank God He loves me enough to correct me and chasten me, even though I do not like it all the time, I know He has what is best for me on the forefront of his mind. Since God reproves and corrects me as a loving Father, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord thank you for loving me. Thank you for correcting me and not allowing me to continue down the wrong paths in life. Thank you for always having your hands on me, leading and guiding me to the places you have for me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
