Listen

"Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth." Psalm 78:1

As Christians we should always take the time to pray. There will be situations and circumstances that we will not be able to work out on our own and we will need The Lord to work them out for us. When we pray, we want The Lord to hear and answer our prayers, in His time and in His way. Often in prayer we do all the talking to The Lord, but we should remember that The Lord wants to talk to us as well. The Scripture reminds us to, give ear, O my people to my law: and incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I encourage you today to give your ear to The Lord. The Lord wants to speak into your life, but He needs you to listen. There are some things that The Lord needs to say just to you, and many times He does not have your attention, so He can’t say it. When you are in prayer you want to know that The Lord is listening to you, and in the same way The Lord wants you to listen to the words of life He has for you. When you listen to The Lord and listen to Him in your prayer closet, He will give you direction for your life that will set you on the right path. Not only does The Lord want you to listen to Him in prayer, but He wants you to listen to His Word as well, for in His word you will find directions for your life that will bless you. Listen to The Lord and incline your ear to His Word for your life, and then do what The Lord has asked you to do. Not only do I need The Lord to listen to me, but I will listen to Him in prayer for His Word for my life. Since I will incline my ear to The Lord, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

Prayer:

Lord thank you for hearing me when I pray. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my request and thank you for all the great and wonderful things you have done for me. Help me to listen to you in prayer and then respond to the direction you have for my life, so that I might be blessed, and you glorified. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
