Light In The Darkness
May 14, 2026
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." Psalm 119:105
Each of us have experienced the feeling of being in the dark. The very first thing we do is try to find some light. There are times in life when we are in a dark and unfamiliar places, and because it is dark and unfamiliar we grope around trying to find our way to some light. When we are going through some dark periods in our lives there is no physical light switch we can turn on. However, we always have God with us, and He is our light in dark places. The Scripture reminds us that His Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. I encourage you today to stop walking around in the dark and read God's Word and turn the light on so you can see where you are going. Not only will you be able to see where you are going, you will also be able to see where God is taking you. Allow God's Word to be a lamp unto your feet, that everywhere you go His Word would be illuminated in your life. When you allow the Word of God to light up your life, the dark places will never seem too dark and the narrow pathways of life will always have a light on. When you allow God's Word to be your light, it will lead you to the places that God has prepared for you. There are some who are afraid of the dark, but when you have the Word of God in your heart, you never have to be in darkness or afraid, because you know God is blessing you, and God is keeping you by His Word. I thank God that no matter how dark my days or nights may be, His Word lights the way for me, and leads me to the place He has for me. Since God's Word is my lamp and my light, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for being that constant bright shining light in my life that shines bright every step I take on the paths of life. Thank you Lord for never allowing me to be in darkness as long as I walk with you. Lord, be the light that illuminates every path I should take on this journey of life. Thank you for always being there for me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
