Lifter Of My Head
July 02, 2025
“But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.” Psalm 3:3 (ESV)
In this age of technology has a video camera and can capture things as they are happening. Television shows now highlight people who are not looking where they are going and running into walls or doors because they are distracted. To some this is something to laugh at but we have more and more people walking around with their heads down not looking where they are going, or because of what they are going through they just cannot find the strength to lift their heads. When we walk around with our heads down, we miss all that The Lord has for us simply because we have allowed things of life to keep us from lifting our heads. The Scripture reminds us that, the Lord is a shield for us, and our glory, and the lifter of our heads. I encourage you today to remember that The Lord is your shield and the lifter of your head. When life tires to throw things at you remember The Lord is your shield. When you do not know how you are going to make it, The Lord is the lifter of your head. When you feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders and you cannot take another step, The Lord will give you strength and lift you up when you are down. Stop walking around with your head hung low, there is nothing on the ground for you, everything The Lord has for you is ahead of you. When life gets rough lift up your head, and when things do not seem to be working out the way you thought they were, lift up your head and know The Lord is your shield and your glory, and He is always there for you. No matter how difficult things may become I know The Lord is my shield and my glory and the lifter of my head in every situation I face in life. Since I know the Lord lifts me up always, I am convinced, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for being my shield from life’s stormy blasts. Thank you for being the lifter of my head when the weight of the world is weighing me down. Thank you for being the lover of my soul even when there are those who hate me. Thank you Lord for all you do for me. I will keep my head lifted because I know you are with me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
