Let Your Light Shine

"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." John 1:5 (ESV)

There are many people young and old who are afraid of the dark. No matter where they are they always need some form of light to be on, because the darkness causes them to be gripped by fear. Darkness can be daunting and frightening because of what we cannot see. It is difficult to navigate through darkness and find our way when we cannot see where we are going. No matter how dark it may be there is always a cure for darkness and that is the presence of light. As long as there is a light, it cannot be dark. The Scripture reminds us that, the light shines in darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. I encourage you today to constantly allow your light to shine. It does not make a difference how dark your day may be, allow your light to shine. It does not make a difference how dark someone may be trying to act, continue to let your light shine, and their darkness will not overcome you. As long as your light is shining darkness cannot overcome. There is no need for you to walk in darkness when you can overcome the darkness by allowing the light of The Lord to shine in every situation you face. When you are going through the valley, let your light shine. When the storms of life are raging and you do not know what to do, let your light shine. When all around you is filled with darkness and despair, let your light shine for the world to see. No matter how dark my day may be, and no matter how much darkness tries to surround me, I will continue to allow the light of The Lord to shine in my life, because I know darkness cannot overcome His light. Since I am always walking in the light of The Lord I know for sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

Prayer:

Lord thank you for being my light in every dark situation I face. Thank you for always shining your light on me. Illuminate my path today that you may continue to get the glory out of my life. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
