Let God Fight For You
January 20, 2024
“Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” Romans 12:19 (ESV)
There are mean people in the world, and there are those who will do what they can to try to get under our skin. Our enemies will try whatever they can to move us to a place of wrath. It seems like our enemies know just which buttons to push and when to push them, and when they do our first reaction is to strike back. Since we are children of God, we must remember that all our reactions have meaning. We should not react like those who do not know The Lord. The world may say get me, and I will get you back, but we who know The Lord must love in every situation no matter how difficult it may be. The Scripture reminds us that we should not avenge ourselves, or give place to wrath, but remember vengeance is the Lord's and He will repay. I encourage you today to let God fight your battles for you. God knows just what He is doing and if vengeance is truly His, let God do what He needs to do on your behalf. When people do things to you, and you begin to fight you are letting God know you do not need Him to fight that battle for you, and God will let you fight. However, when things are rough and your enemy is coming against you, and you put it in God's hands, then He will fight the battle for you, and remember when God fights, He never loses. Yes, people do mean things, yes, you have haters, and yes so- called friends turn out not to be true friends, but you do not have to worry, let God fight for you, and you will have a guaranteed victory every time. No matter the battles in my life, I will let God fight them for me, and I know I will make it through. Since God is fighting all my battles, I know for sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord forgive me for fighting when I should have remained still and let you fight for me. Thank you for always fighting for me, and reminding me you are always there. Thank you for loving me the way that you do. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
