In His Presence

"One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple." Psalm 27:4

Each of us have something we would want to do before we reach a certain age, or something we would do if we had the resources to make it happen. Some people make bucket lists and are trying to fulfill each item on their list. Children at Christmas take days and hours to write down what they want for Christmas, and what they hope to find under the tree on Christmas morning. Each of us has some desires we would like to achieve in this lifetime. Of all the desires we have the biggest one should be to seek The Lord and to be in His presence. The Psalmist reminds us that, one thing he has desired of the Lord, and what he will seek after, is to dwell in the House of the Lord all the days of his life, and to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in His temple. I encourage you today to have a deep desire and to seek The Lord in all that you do. No matter what it is you are facing in your life, seek The Lord and enquire of Him what He would have you to do. Be desirous to dwell in the House of The Lord all the days of your life, and to be in His presence all the time. When you are in the presence of The Lord it is there you will have joy and peace no matter what is going on around you. When you are not in His presence it is difficult to find peace and joy. When you dwell in His presence you know that even though the storm is raging, you are still resolute that everything will be alright. When you are in His presence and you enquire of Him, you will get direction for the way that you should go in life. As you fulfill your desires on earth, do not forget to always seek to dwell in the presence of The Lord. One thing that I desire, and I will seek after all the days of my life is to be in the presence of The Lord and to enquire of Him always. Since this is my desire and I am seeking after it, I know for sure, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”

Prayer:

Lord thank you for always being easy to find. I will continue to seek you all the days of my life. I want to be in your presence always, because it is there that I find everything I need. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
