Humble Yourself
February 15, 2024
“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:” 1 Peter 5:6 (ESV)
There is a difference between being confident and being arrogant. When you are arrogant you think that things work out because of you and only you. When you are confident you know that certain things are going to work because you put all your faith in God, and you know that things will work out because God is on your side. It is very dangerous to have an exalted opinion of oneself because God has a way of making us realize that He is in control. The Scripture reminds us to humble yourself therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. I encourage you today to always humble yourself. When God lifts you up don’t take credit for it, give all the glory to God. When doors open for you, do not give the credit to your degrees or your contacts, but give all glory to God. When you humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, He will exalt you in His time. You don’t have to be in a rush to get to the top, God will exalt you in His time, and His time is perfect. Every day I will do what I can do to humble myself under God’s mighty hand, and I know that He will exalt me in His time. Since I will humble myself under God’s mighty hand, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord help me to humble myself under your mighty hand. You know the desire of my heart. Draw me closer to you this Lenten season. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
