Great Commandments
February 09, 2024
“The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:31 (ESV)
There is no doubt that The Lord loves us. When we are having the best day of our lives, The Lord loves us. When we are having the most difficult times in life, The Lord loves us. When we are doing the right thing or when we are not doing the right thing, The Lord loves us. In response to The Lord’s love for us, we should love Him. When God answers our prayers the way we want Him to, we should love Him. When He does not answer our prayers the way we want, we should love Him. There is not a time or a situation that we should not love The Lord, because there has not been a time or situation when The Lord has not loved us. The Bible instructs us as believers to love The Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind. One of the ways that we show that we love God, is by loving our neighbors. The Scripture reminds us, you shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these. I encourage you today to love The Lord with everything in you and love your neighbor as yourself. Show your love for God today by how you love others. There is someone who needs love today and God will assign you to show His love to that one who is in need. Your neighbor is not just the people who live next to you, but they are the people who you meet wherever God sends you. I will show God’s love to others, because every day God shows His love to me. Since I will put love in action today, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord thank you for loving me unconditionally. Thank you for loving me in my good and bad days. Thank you for always being there for me. Help me to show off your love to others today. I love you Lorde. In Jesus Name Amen.
