God Shows His Love
October 11, 2023
"Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty." Job 5:17
Correction can be difficult to take for someone who always thinks they are right. If someone tells them they are wrong, they have problem with the person and will still proclaim they are
right. We all make mistakes, no one is right all the time. The smartest person in the world is not always right, the person who has been in Church most of their lives is not always right. The important thing is not always to be right, it is how we react when we are wrong, and need to be corrected. The Scripture reminds us that, happy is the person whom God corrects: therefore despise not the chastening of the Almighty. I encourage you today to remember you are not perfect and you will make mistakes, and because God loves you He will correct you. When God corrects you it is because He does not want to see you go through the same things over and over again. Job reminds you happy is the person whom God corrects, you should be ecstatic that God would take the time to correct you. Because that means He loves you. So when God corrects and chastens you do not think God is being hard on you, He is really showing His love for you. If God did not love you, He would not correct you, He would simply allow you to continue to fall deeper and deeper into sin. I thank God He loves me enough to correct and chasten me, because God knows what is best for me. Since I know that God loves me, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord thank you for loving me enough to correct and chasten me. Thank you for leading and guiding me down the right paths of life, and thank you for always being with me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
