Give Love
August 30, 2023
“Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39 (ESV)
There is no doubt that God loves us. Each day God shows us He loves us by pouring His blessings into our lives. Although we may hit some rough spots in of life, God loves us. Also, there should not be a question if we love God. Each new day The Lord gives us should be another opportunity for us to show that we love God in the things that we do and say. However, it is not just simply showing our love for Him that matters to God, but also how we show our love to others. The Scripture reminds us that we should love the Lord with all of our heart, soul, and mind, and the second commandment is just like it, that we love our neighbor as we love ourselves. I encourage you today to love The Lord with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and do not forget to love your neighbor as yourself. Every day pour out your love towards God and let Him know how much you love and care about Him, and do it with everything in you. Also, you must love your neighbor as yourself. It is more than just loving God, it is equally important to Him how you treat His people. You cannot say you love The Lord, and not treat people the way God would have you treat them. People may not always make it easy for you to love them, but it is not so much how they love you, but it is more about how you love them that counts with God. You are not responsible for how someone loves you, but you are responsible for how you love and treat them. The first commandment is to love The Lord my God with all of my heart, soul, mind, and strength, and the second is just like it, to love my neighbor as myself. Although. I may not always get it right, I will do all that I can do to love those around me with everything in me, just like I love the Lord my God with everything in me. Since I will do all that I can do to fulfill the two great commandments in showing love always, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord thank you for loving me. Thank you for always showing me how much you love me. Lord help me today to show your love to others in how I treat them and walk in your way. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
