Get Back Up
May 10, 2023
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23
No matter how much of a perfectionist we claim to be, we make mistakes and we are going to have some mishaps along the way as well. As we travel on the road of life, we are going to have hiccups and some mess ups to be reminded that we are not perfect. Anyone who seeks perfection will soon discover that the road to perfection is littered with mistakes, and once perfection is reached it only last for a fleeting moment until the next mistake shows up. In our walk as Christians, we too are going to make mistakes and daily we are going to sin, but we cannot allow our mistakes and sin to keep us from getting up and striving for perfection in God. The Scripture reminds us that, all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. I encourage you today to know that even when you fall short of God's glory, you serve a forgiving God. Every day you are going to fall short of God's glory, but that does not give you license to fall for the same thing and the same way every day. Realizing that you will fall short of His glory, also gives you the realization of God’s forgiveness. You are not perfect, but each day you should strive for perfection in God, and know that when you fall, God is right there to pick you up. When you fall short, ask for God's forgiveness and get back up, and walk towards His glory once again. Every day I fall short of His glory, and although I fall short, I will get back up and try again knowing that I am forgiven by God. Since I know I fall short of God’s glory daily, I also know I am forgiven by God, that’s why I am sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord I have fallen short of your glory and I have sinned. I ask your forgiveness for my sins. I ask you to help me to get back up every time I fall and to walk in your forgiveness, grace, and mercy. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
