Freedom
May 23, 2023
"Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.” 1 Peter 2:16
There is a price to be paid for freedom of any kind. Freedom is very seldom ever free someone has fought and or died for the freedoms that we have today. In countries all around the world there are those who have fought and are still fighting to be free from the oppressions that people have placed on their lives. They risked their lives so others may be free. The freedom we have as Christians did not come without a price being paid, and that price was Christ dying for us so we could be free. What do we do with this freedom that we have, do we use it to lift others or do we use this freedom to bring people down? The Scripture reminds us that, we should live as people who are free, not using our freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. I encourage you today to walk in the freedom you have as a person and as a child of God. Use your freedom to be a blessing to those The Lord allows you to come in contact with. Use your freedom to help someone and to encourage someone who needs a kind word. Use your freedom to be a positive influence in the community and to be a voice for the voiceless, and help for the helpless. Do not use your freedom to bring people down or to hurt, hinder, and prevent them from achieving greatness in their lives. As you walk in your freedom in Christ, always remember you are a servant of God, and as His ambassador you should live, walk, and talk like He would. I thank God for my freedom that I have in Him, and I am determined to use my freedom for His glory as a servant of God. Since I am free in Christ and I will use my freedom for His glory, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From my God!"
Prayer:
Thank you Jesus for paying the price for my freedom. Let me use my freedom to be a blessing to those who you place in my path. Direct me in the places and spaces you put me in to be a blessing to the community I serve and live. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
