Free From The Past
June 29, 2023
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 (ESV)
We all have a past and things in our past that we are not proud of. We have learned from the mistakes and missteps of our past, so we can walk in the paths that we walk in now. A part of the journey to freedom and forgiveness was to have a relationship with Christ, and in doing so we asked and received forgiveness from our sins. Although we are not now perfect and still sin, our relationship with Christ causes us to walk in forgiveness and not our past. It Is not an easy journey, but a journey that is necessary and guided by God. The Scripture reminds us, I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I encourage you today to live the life of faith that you have in Christ. Do not dwell on your past and keep reliving the things you did, but live forgiven and free in Christ. Remembering that He loved you so much that He died for you. Walk in the newness of your life and be everything that God has called you to be. Do not allow your past to make you a prisoner and cause you to think that you are not free. You are free because Christ set you free when He loved you so much that He gave His life for you. I am determined to let everyone see the Christ in me, and to live the free life that He gave to me, when He gave His life for me. Sine I am forgiven and free in Christ, and will live by faith in Jesus, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord thank you for dying for me and giving your life for me. Thank you for loving me so much that you would give me freedom from my sin. Help me to let the world see the Christ in me and follow you. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
