Follow The Lord
April 26, 2023
"And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams." 1 Samuel 15:22
In this technological age many of us depend on our GPS systems to take us from one location to the next. GPS will tell us where to turn and direct us on the best route. As long as we are following the GPS everything is fine, it when we get to a place where we feel we no longer need the GPS because we think we know where we are and we become lost. The Lord has a plan for our lives, and each day He gives us the instructions we need to get to the place that He has for us, and as soon as we feel like we know where we are going or what we are doing we stops listening to God and go our own way, only to discover that we are lost once again. The Scripture reminds us that Samuel said to Saul, has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices than obeying the voice of the Lord? It is better to obey than sacrifice, and to hearken better than the fat of rams. I encourage you today to follow the voice of The Lord completely. Do not allow anyone to talk you out of what you know that God has spoken for your life. God has a plan for your life, and when He is trying to take you somewhere, He needs you to listen to His voice, and not veer off course thinking that you know where you are going. You did not get to this point in your life without listening to the voice of The Lord, and you cannot go to the next phase of your life without listening to the voice of The Lord for your life. Roadblocks and hurdles may come along the way, but God has already designed a way for you to get around those challenges, if you would just listen to His leading and guiding for you. It is better to obey than anything else you think the Lord wants. If the Lord wanted a sacrifice He would have asked you for it, but He wants your obedience more than anything else in your life. There have been many times when I have veered off course in my life, and I am thankful that The Lord guided me back on the right path, and I am learning each day that it is better to obey God than try to offer anything that I think is better. Since I will listen to the voice of the Lord for my life I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord thank you for leading and directing me. Thank you for always keeping me in your hands. Help me to listen to your voice and direction for my life. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
