Refreshed

“O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.” Psalm 63:1 (ESV)
When we are truly thirsty there are not many things that will satisfy or quench our thirst like good old fashion water. Water satisfies our thirst like nothing else can when we are parched from the activities of the day or being in the heat. Once we have tasted the water, we feel like we are refreshed, but until we quench our thirst there is not much we can do. There are times when we are not just physically thirsty, but we become spiritually thirsty. Just like water is what we need when we are physically thirsty, we need the refreshing from The Lord when we are spiritually thirsty. The Scripture reminds us that, O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is not water. I encourage you today to seek The Lord when your soul is thirsty. Seek the One who can quench your thirst when find yourself in parched places. When you are parched the only thing that will revive you is seeking the refreshing that can only come from The Lord. When you are parched spiritually and do not feel like you can go on any longer, The Lord will quench your thirst and give you what you need to continue to strive to be in the place that He has just for you. Early in the morning I will seek The Lord for I know He will refresh me and quench my thirsty soul and give me strength to make it through a dry land. Since I know The Lord always gives me what I need, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord thank you for being my thirst quencher. Thank you for always giving me what I need. Thank you for leading me out of dry places and into pools of refreshing in you. Thank you Lord for being my God and no matter what I face or go through in life, I will always seek you. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
