Don’t Look Back
April 29, 2023
"But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt." Genesis 19:26
There are some things in our past that we would like to keep in our past, and never think about them again. There are also some positive things in our past that we can fondly look back but if we are not careful, we will begin to relive those moments over again in our minds, and find ourselves dwelling in the past. The Lord has brought us through some things that we are grateful to be out of. We can get stuck looking back and miss out on the great things The Lord has for us in the future. The Scripture reminds us that, Lot's wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. I encourage you today that when The Lord has delivered you out of something to keep moving and do not look back. When The Lord brings you out of something and you are still in your right mind, thank Him and praise Him, but do not look back. When God has turned your life around and has delivered you from some people, do not look back, but keep going knowing that The Lord has great things in store for your life. When you look back you take the chance of getting stuck in the past and missing your future. You have experienced some great things in the past, but there are greater things ahead of you, keeping looking and moving towards the blessings the Lord has in front of you, for they will be better than what is behind you. I thank God for all that I have been through, both the good and the bad, but I am grateful and thankful for what He has in front of me. Each day The Lord gives to me is brighter than the day before, and I know that He has more blessings in front of me, this is why I can confidently say, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord thank you for all that you have done in my life. Thank you for all the ways you have made and all the doors you have opened. Thank you for all that you have delivered me out of and how you kept me through every storm. I also thank you for all that you have in store for my life. Thank you for all the great things you have in front of me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
