Don’t Look Back

“Remember Lot's wife.” Luke 17:32 (ESV)
We all have a past. Some things that have happened in our past are good and others not so good. We have all made our fair share of mistakes in life, and we have all hit bumps in the road along the way. No matter how many mistakes we have made or how many bumps we have hit, God has always been there to pick us up and is always ready to forgive us. As we travel the road of life and walk in the will that God has for us, we must focus more on where we are going than where we have been. Our best days are still in front of us. God was delivering Lot and his family from the impending doom of Sodom and Gomorrah and instructed them where to go and to not look back. Lot’s wife on hearing all the destruction behind her, looked back, and when she did, she became a pillar a salt, frozen in her steps. I encourage you today not to focus on what is behind you, but focus on where God is taking you. Focus on what is ahead of you and you will discover that your blessings are just ahead. Focus on the great things that God has done and is doing in your life and you will not have time for a pity party about yesterday. Declare to yourself that today is going to be the best day of your life. I know that God has great things in store for my life and I refuse to focus on my past, because my future is much greater. Since I will continue to look forward to the great things God has in store for my life, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord thank you for delivering me from my past. Thank you for setting blessings ahead me in my future. Thank you for loving me so much that you have forgiven my past and have blessed my future. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
