Don’t Judge

"For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:2

A judge is someone who presides over legal proceedings and makes decisions of guilt or innocence. At one time or another in our lives we have played judge without hearing all the facts, but have allowed someone to give us a piece of a story and then we made our decision based on partial information. There are times when people will judge others based on the decisions they make for their lives. We judge people by what they are wearing or how they may speak, and by the way they look. Often when we judge people with partial or false information, we get it wrong. Not matter the actions of a person, or how they look, walk, talk, or dress we are in no place to judge. The Scripture reminds us that, in the same way we judge others, we will be judged, and with the measure we use, it will be measured to us. I encourage you today not to be anyone's judge. If you take the time to look at your own situations there will be no time to judge others. You serve a kind, merciful, and great God who is wise is wise enough to allow you to choose the rubric of your judgment. The same rubric you use for others, is what God will use to judge you. You never know what someone may be going through, and they may not know what you are going through, so instead of judging people, give them the benefit of the doubt, and love them through it all, just as God loves you through it all. I am in no position to judge anyone, so I choose to show love instead of judging. I know God has so much He can judge me on, and I am thankful that instead of judging me He shows me love. Since I choose to love instead of judge, I know for sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

Prayer:

Thank you Lord for not judging me by my past but always seeing the best in me. Help me to show love and not judge anyone. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
