Content And Blessed
December 27, 2024
"Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Hebrews 13:5 (ESV)
As this year is ending, it is a good time for us to begin to evaluate this year. It is a time when we can examine at all that we have been through, and all we have accomplished. There will be some good things, and some bad things we will have to look at, but through them all we made it with the help of God. Some have strived to be better in one area or another, some wanted to be more financially together only to discover that their finances were not better at all. It is important to remember no matter what we have been through The Lord has been right there with us. The Scripture reminds us we should keep ourselves free from the love of money, and be content with what we have, knowing that we have a promise that God will never leave us nor forsake us. I encourage you today that as you reflect on these last few days of the year, that you will not only look at what you do not have, but all that The Lord has done in your life this year. Be content with what you have, and remember God gave you all you needed to be where you are right now. It would have been nice to have more, but The Lord gave you just what you needed to make it through every situation. On top of that everything you went through He was right there with you, He never left you or forsook you at any time. The Lord has been good to you, and He will continue to be good to you, for no matter what He is there with you. Through ups and downs The Lord has been right by my side keeping me and blessing me, and I know He will never leave me or forsake me. Since He is always with me, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for always being with me. Thank you for never leaving or forsaking me. Thank you for always giving me what I need and when I need it. Thank you for always giving me more than enough of everything. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
