Come Back Home
February 19, 2024
“For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.” 1 Peter 2:25 (ESV)
Many of us who are saved, probably grew up in a home with a parent or parents who were believers. Since they were believers, we were often forced to go to Church and to participate in the activities of the Church. Once we were grown and on our own we could make our own decisions, and that led us away from the Church. It was also our decisions that we made that led us right back to the place of our foundation in Church and more importantly Christ. The Scripture reminds us, “for you were straying like sheep, but have no returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.” I encourage you today to return to the Shepherd and Overseer of your soul. You have strayed long enough, and it is time to come back to the One who will never leave or forsake you. No matter how far you may have strayed you can always come back to Him. If you have not strayed and have been walking with the Shepherd for a long time, do not stray from the places that the Shepherd is leading and guiding you. He has not steered you wrong and He will never steer you in the wrong direction. I thank God that He has never let me stray too far from Him, and He is always there for me. Since I am following the Shepherd and Overseer of my soul, I know for sure, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord thank you for never allowing me to stray too far away from you. Thank you for always welcoming me back to your fold. Thank you for always keeping me in your loving care. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
