Chase God
March 31, 2023
"No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money." Matthew 6:23 (ESV)
It is hard not to think about money in the times in which we live. When we turn on the news or read a newspaper and the underlining issue is money and the lack of it. States do not have enough money so they will have to cut important programs. The federal government does not have enough money so it cannot fund properly the things which need funding. As Christians, our focus should be on loving God and knowing that He will supply all our needs. Many people will chase after money and they truly believe if they have money, everything else will be all right. The Scripture reminds us, no one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money. I encourage you today to serve God. The Lord knows what you need to survive. He knows how much your rent, mortgage, car payment, lights, and gas bills are, and He has been faithful in providing everything you need. He knows how much food you need and how much you need to get from day to day. You can be honest with yourself and say The Lord has never failed you and He has provided for you even in these crucial economic times. Serve God and don’t chase money, keep chasing after God and He will bless you beyond measure. I am determined to chase after God in all that I do, and I know that God is still in the blessing business. Since I am chasing after God, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord thank you for all that you do for me. Thank you for every blessing and breakthrough. Thank you for always providing for me. I will continue to chase after you for your glory to be on my life. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
