"Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord." John 12:13
Today we pause to celebrate Palm Sunday. A day we remember Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Jesus came into Jerusalem humble riding on a donkey, and some believed that this could not be the Messiah, because He did not come charging in on a white horse overtaking those who were against them, but instead Jesus comes into Jerusalem riding on a donkey, humble, meek, and mild, and there were those there who recognized His Kingship not being of this world, but more importantly His Heavenly Kingship, and began to shout Hosanna as He enter into the Holy city. The Scripture reminds us that, they took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet Him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that comes in the name of the Lord. I encourage you today as you remember this day Jesus' coming into Jerusalem that Jesus is not just a king, but He is King of kings and Lord of lords. As you receive your palm branches today, do not let this be an exercise in habit and ritual, but a time of reflection that Jesus is Lord of your life. Let this be a time to remember that not only did He enter Jerusalem humbly and mild, but He enter as your Savior. What He would endure after this celebration of His Kingship and Lordship would be harsh and grueling, but remember He would endure it all for you. Celebrate Jesus today with shouts of Hosanna's in the highest, blessed be He that comes in the name of the Lord. I am extremely grateful for all that The Lord has done in my life, and today I will celebrate and shout, Hosanna in the highest for truly Jesus is King and Lord of my life. Since I will celebrate who He is in my life always I know for sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord thank you for being Lord over my life. Thank you for being King of kings. Thank you for being my Savior and so much more. I celebrate and praise you today. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
