Carry Your Cross

“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” Luke 9:23

As a new year begins many of us will head back to work and begin to settle into our normal routines. As we settle into our routines and habits of normalcy, we must also remember that we should have new focus and determination this year. Many of us have resolved to do some things different in this year and we cannot wait until next week to begin new things. Each of us will have to follow the path and the steps that The Lord is laying out for us. The Scripture reminds us that Jesus said, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. I encourage you today and the days ahead to take up your cross and follow Jesus. Your cross is not anyone else’s cross. The Lord is leading you to certain places and spaces that He may not be leading anyone else. Stay focus on the things that God has for you and be determined not to allow the weight of your cross to keep you from your destiny. When you are determined to follow Jesus you will be blessed no matter how challenging the road. I am picking up my cross and following Jesus’ path for my life today. Every day I am determined to pick up my cross and do the will of God for my life. Since I am picking up my cross daily, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”

Prayer:

Lord thank you for leading and guiding me in the spaces and places that you have designed for me. When my cross gets too heavy for me to carry help me to carry my cross and do the things that you have called me to do this year. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
