Carry Your Cross
March 08, 2024
"And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me." Mark 8:34
Each of us has a cross to carry. The cross that we have to bear may seem larger than the cross of others, but we should remember we do not know people's complete story to be able to judge how heavy their cross really is. God knows how much we can handle, and He will not give us more than we can carry. The Scripture reminds us that Jesus told the people and His disciples, that whoever comes after Him must deny themselves, pick up their cross and follow Him. I encourage you today to remember that your walk with Christ is not about you, it's about following Him to the place He has for you. Each day you must deny yourself, and your thoughts on how you think things should be and follow Christ. Each day you must pick up your cross and do the things that The Lord is asking you to do. There will be some days that your cross may seem too heavy to carry, but The Lord will not give you more than you can handle. It may not always be easy, but always be confident that The Lord is with you. Get out of your own way and follow Christ knowing that He will lead you to the right place in Him. There are days when my cross seems too heavy for me to carry, but I am grateful The Lord knows just how much I can handle and never gives me more than I can bear. I will deny myself, pick up my cross and follow God every day, and this is why I am so sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord thank you for giving me the strength to carry my cross daily. There are some days that it seems more heavy than other days, but every day you give me what I need to carry my cross. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
