Blessing In Giving
June 17, 2023
“In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20:35 (ESV)
There is no doubt that The Lord has done extraordinary things in our lives. He has been by our side walking with us every day. The Lord has poured more blessings in our lives than we can even count, and none of those blessings did we deserve. The Lord has not blessed us to hoard those blessings, but He has blessed us to be a blessing to those in need. The Scripture reminds us that, in all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, “it is more blessed to give than to receive.” I encourage you today to remember that when you are laboring and serving The Lord you are supporting the weak. There was a time when you were down and The Lord sent someone to lift you up. There was a time when you did not know how you were going to make it, but The Lord used somebody to make a way for you, and now that the Lord has blessed you, you have to be a blessing to someone else. You cannot be a person that is always receiving and never giving, because your blessing is not in the receiving, it is in the giving. You may not be able to do a lot, but there is something you can do because The Lord has blessed you greatly, and when you can turn around and do something for someone else, no matter the size you are letting the light and the love of The Lord shine through you. If you truly want to be blessed beyond measure, give beyond measure. I thank God for every opportunity He has given me to be a blessing to someone else. I know that it is more blessed to give than it is to receive and because I am going to keep on giving, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord thank you for all the blessings you have poured into my life. Help me to be a blessing to someone else and let them know that it was you who have blessed them. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
