Blessed To Be A Blessing

“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 6:1

Each of us even if we do not realize it, are blessed. The Lord has done great and awesome things in our lives, and we really do not deserve anything The Lord does for us. Since we are blessed, it is essential that we do not sit on our blessings or brag about how blessed we are, because The Lord has blessed us to be a blessing to others. When we are a blessing we should not do it in order to be recognized, but we should be a blessing because it is in our heart to do so. The Scripture reminds us, beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. I encourage you today not to do anything just so you can be recognized by other people. When The Lord directs you to do something, you do not need to publicize or advertise it, but you should do it to be obedient to The Lord. When The Lord blesses you, He does not put it in the newspaper or on a billboard, but He blesses you where you are. When you do something for recognition of people, once they have given you your public recognition that is all the reward you will have. However, when you are a blessing to someone and you do it just because they were in need, then your Father who is in Heaven rewards you, and there is nothing that can compare to a blessing from your Father in Heaven. Whatever I do, I do it for The Lord and not for recognition by people. I want The Lord to be proud of me and I want to walk in His will for my life, and since I know I am blessed to be a blessing, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for every blessing you have poured into my life. Thank you for allowing me to be a blessing to others. Thank you for letting me be a witness of your goodness and grace in my life. Thank you for blessing me to be a blessing. Thank you Lord for always being there for me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
